Hi, we're Joni Studio. Our mission is to revolutionize children's clothing! On this page, we'll introduce you to our company and the people behind it, and tell you how it all began.
Our story
We, Marie and Christin, are the driving forces behind our mission to revolutionize children's wardrobes.
Marie is a mother of two boys. In 2017, Marie watched her then 2-year-old son (Joni) frustrated as he tried to put on his jacket on his own – unfortunately, unsuccessfully! And so the basic idea for the world's most child-friendly jacket was born, and Marie set about developing a simpler fastener for children.
Christin is also a mother of two boys. The younger one, Joni, tried to fasten a jacket on his own in 2021 due to his hemiparesis – unfortunately, without success and with no hope of improvement. That was the beginning of a wonderful journey, and so we founded our Joni Studio GmbH in 2023 – to enable all children to put on and take off jackets!
Our two Jonis are the reason we even exist in this form today!
Our innovation
The so-called magic button is our centerpiece! Marie developed this jacket fastener, adapted for children's hands, in 2018 together with Fidlock. The button is magnetic, retains its shape, and can be easily closed and opened with one hand.
We ourselves notice how ingenious our magic button is every day. Regardless of whether the right or left half of the jacket is on top, the buttons can be stacked in any order, thus providing a wonderful opportunity for your very own custom-made click-in jackets.
We live inclusion
Even though the invention of the magic buttons, true to the Montessori principle, was “only” intended to help small children get dressed, a completely new potential for magnetic buttons became clear through Christian Joni, who suffered hemiplegia as a result of a prenatal stroke.
It became clear to us: "Hey, our jackets can connect children WITH and WITHOUT disabilities! Because the easy-to-use closure means ALL children are "first" in the wardrobe.
Our team
Our family is our team! From mom, dad, husband, and grandma to siblings and our children, we receive so much volunteer support. Thank you for believing in our vision!

Joni Studio is located in the heart of the Black Forest! And if you're conjuring up images of snow-capped mountains, an old Black Forest house, and the sound of cowbells—yep, that's exactly how you imagine it!
As fate would have it, Marie and Christin both come from the same area. So Marie seized the opportunity and quickly converted her parents' house into a warehouse and office.
Luckily, nobody objected and three generations were always happy to help (okay, most of the time) with packing and shipping the orders.
We've since grown up and had to leave our parents' house—but don't worry: We've remained true to our regional roots. A friendly fulfillment team near our company now takes care of most of your orders.
Every now and then, in special cases, we still pack ourselves – from our beautiful Black Forest cottage, with just as much love as before.
Development
The development of our jackets takes place virtually anywhere and at any time! Marie and Christin are in constant communication, so to speak.
You can really imagine this 24/7 and observe how the products are suitable for everyday use on your kids.
As soon as we have an idea to improve something, our factory in the Czech Giant Mountains comes into play…

In another mountainous region of Europe, the Czech Giant Mountains, lies our most faithful companions! A family-run manufacturer that consistently blows us away with its precision, passion, and commitment to quality.
Marie's roots are here. As the child of Czech parents, it's only natural that our clothing has its origins here. We are connected to our factory on so many levels. We value their expertise and are grateful to have such valuable partners on our side. This allows us to proudly claim that our clothing is produced fairly and sustainably.
The only stop your clothes make on the way from production to you is our Black Forest cottage, where we lovingly package each of your orders.
